| DESCRIPTION |
Mebidal is a round shaped white tablet containing mebhydrolin napadisylate. Mebidal diminishes or abolishes the main actions of histamine in the body by competitive reversible blockade of histamine receptor sites on tissues. |
| INDICATIONS |
Mebidal is an antihistamine recommended for the treatment of hay fever, urticaria, rhinitis and all other allergic disorders. |
| DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION |
Adults: 1 to 2 tablets three times daily.
Children: Over 10 years: 1 to 2 tablets three times daily.
Under 10 years: 1 to 4 tablets daily according to age in divided doses or as directed by physician.

| CONTRAINDICATIONS |
None known, but previously known hypersensitivity is a definite contraindication. |
| SIDE EFFECTS |
Very rarely cases of granulocytopenia or agranulocytosis associated with the use of mebhydrolin have been reported. Sedation, drowsiness & dryness of mouth may occur. |
| PRECAUTIONS |
The substance may cause drowsiness, if affected, do not drive or operate machinery. Avoid alcoholic drinks. No embryotoxic or teratogenic effects have been reported, but on principle caution should be exercised when prescribing any new medication during pregnancy and lactation. |
| PHARMACEUTICAL PRECAUTION |
Store in a cool, dry place. Keep out of the reach of children. |
| PACKAGING |
Box containing 20 strips of 10 tablets. Each tablet contains 50 mg mebhydrolin base equivalent to 76 mg mebhydrolin napadisylate BPC.
